This is a different number from the invoice number which goes on the invoice and behaves the same as the invoice number

Hello there, @flample-dositec-. Let me share some information about adding NCF numbers to the invoice in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

Currently, customizing the invoice forms according to the Dominican Republic is unavailable in QBO. However, we can use the Custom field feature to add another box.

Here's how:

  1. Go to the Gear icon.
  2. Under Your Company, select Custom form styles.
  3. Pick the invoice from the list and click the Edit link under Action.
  4. Select the Content tab.
  5. Click the header of the template to view more details.
  6. Select the Custom field link to expand it.
  7. Enter a name that will identify the field box.
  8. Hit Done to keep the changes.

The steps given above are for an older QBO version. If you're using a new account, check this link for the steps: How to add custom fields to invoices.

Additionally, we can manually enter the NCF or fiscal voucher number in QBO. First, we'll have to turn on the Custom transaction numbers feature. I'll guide you on how.

  1. Go to the Gear icon.
  2. Under Your Company, select Account and Settings.
  3. Click the Sales tab.
  4. Select the Sales form content edit pencil icon.
  5. Turn on the Custom transaction numbers.
  6. Hit Save and then Done.

Once done, we can now enter the numbers manually when creating invoices.
