Question

How can I correct payment methods? For example bankaccount in EUR was automatically saved with my 'home currency' USD. How can I correct this for that bankaccount in QB?

To be clear, I want to edit the currency for a bankaccount from EUR to USD. Up to now, no suppliers, expenses and/or sales have been matched with this bankaccount in QB.

Hello there! I'd be glad to help you with the instructions for changing home currency in QuickBooks Online (QBO), @mail-missproject.

You can change your home currency to USD if you haven't activated the Multicurrency feature in QBO by following these simple steps:

  1. Click the Gear icon at the upper right corner.
  2. Select Account and Settings, then choose the Advanced tab.
  3. Go to the Currency section. Then click the pencil icon.
  4. Choose USD from the drop-down arrow.
  5. Hit the Save button, then Done.

However, once you've already set up or activated the Multicurrency feature, you're unable to change it in your QBO account.

You can only update the home currency by deleting all your data and starting over from scratch

Please note that not all versions of QuickBooks have the Multicurrency feature.
