Welcome to the Community space, Polish.

Let me guide you on what to perform after restocking your inventory.

Following restocking your inventory, you can track what you receive from suppliers and what's still on order by using reports to see your sales and inventory status.

Then, check the stock through the Sales and customers group of reports. Run these reports to know the on-hand inventory, so you always have customer wants:

  • Inventory Valuation Summary: The quantity on hand, value, and average cost for each product.
  • Inventory Valuation Detail: Your transactions for each inventory item and how they affect quantity on hand, value, and cost.
  • Stock Take Worksheet: Your inventory items with space to enter your physical count so you can compare to the quantity on hand in QuickBooks.

Check what's still on order by going to the Expenses and Suppliers group of reports. Then, run the Open Purchase Order Detail report to show how many items are still on order and how many you received so far.

After that, you can connect the Purchase Order (PO) to Bill or Expense transactions to automatically update your inventory.

You can also check the on-hand and still in order as you work. Just hover your pointer over the quantity you entered on any transaction.

If you enter reorder points, QuickBooks will alert you if a product is running low.

Also, you might discover that you have either more or fewer items than what QuickBooks shows, we can manually adjust the quantity without recording a purchase or sale to match what you actually have in stock.
