Hi there, @773515. I've got your back, and I'll input the steps below so your client can proceed to use the custom invoice that you've created in their QuickBooks Online (QBO) company.

Before we start, I'd like to congratulate you and your client on this. Since you've already created a custom invoice template, the only thing left to do is to let your client create an invoice and use that template that you've made. I'll gladly input the steps below so you can proceed. To begin, here's how:

  1. Access QuickBooks Online company.
  2. On the left navigational bar, click the +New button.
  3. Create or open an existing invoice.
  4. Select Customize in the footer.
  5. Choose a custom template from the list.
  6. Select Save and close.

They can also set your custom invoice template as default. This way, when they create invoices they no longer need to perform the steps that I've mentioned above. To set a default custom template, these are the steps:

  1. Go to Gear icon,  and then select Custom form styles.
  2. Find the template.
  3. Click the dropdown ▼ in the Action column.
  4. Select Make default. You'll see (default) displayed by the default template name.

Visit this article for more information about using customised invoice template in QBO: Customise invoices, estimates, and sales receipts in QuickBooks Online.

In addition, here's an article about handling invoice payments in QBO: Record invoice payments in QuickBooks Online.

They can also check this article about customising a reports. This way, they can run a report to show invoice status in QBO: Customise reports in QuickBooks Online.
