It’s great to see you in the Community, bjepta.

May I know if you want to add another currency or turn on/off the multi-currency feature? While waiting for all the details, let me walk you through the steps on how to accomplish each one.

Here’s how:

  1. Go to the Gear icon at the top and choose All lists under Lists.
  2. Click the Currencies link to open the All Lists page.
  3. From there, hit the Add currency button.
  4. This will display another window where you can choose the foreign currency.
  5. After selecting, click the Add menu.

To activate the multi-currency, make sure you’re using the Essentials, Plus, and Advanced versions. The process should only take a couple of minutes.

  1. Click the Gear icon at the top to choose Account and Settings under Your Company.
  2. Go to the Advanced menu on the left panel to mark the Pencil icon for Currency.
  3. Mark the box for Multicurrency and choose I understand I can’t undo Multicurrency.
  4. Click Save and Done.

For more insights, check out these guides. Each one contains instructions on how to enter a foreign account, vendors, or customers.

If you want to deactivate the multi-currency, the functionality is currently unavailable at this time. There may be foreign exchange data recorded in the company that you'll need to account for. That’s why we’ll have to make sure the feature is active.

Reach out to me if you need assistance while working in QBO. I’m more than happy to help and make sure you’re taken care of. Enjoy the rest of the day.

As an additional option, if you deal with multi currency transactions, explore and open a multi currency business account at TW as the virtual bank and utilize the bank feeds.
