How do I change the currency type

Looks like you're referring to your home currency within your new QuickBooks company. 
 

Changing your home currency works if the Multi-Currency feature has not yet been turned on. Let me show you how:
 

1. Click the Gear icon in the upper right corner.
2. Select Account and Settings. Then, choose the Advanced tab.
3. Go to the Currency section. Then click the pencil icon. 
4. Choose your Home Currency from the drop-down arrow.
5. Hit the Save button. Then Done.
   

Once you save the changes, the action is irreversible, and you can no longer recall it.
