I appreciate you for reaching out to us here on the Community page, @aa-whiteturtle.

I can share some information about Tax Collected Source (TCS) and how you can adhere to it on your transactions.

TCS is calculated based on the sales value or Scrap Value + GST. At this time, you can add a line item for its calculation where you can manually enter the TCS amount on your bill. Here's how to create the item:

  1. Go to the Gear icon, then select Products and services.
  2. Tap New beside the More button.
  3. Choose either Non-inventory or Service.
  4. Fill in the information needed. Then, click Save and Close.

You can also check out the details from this link to learn more about adding product and service items in QuickBooks:  Add product and service items to QuickBooks Online.

Once completed, you're now ready to apply the TCS item on your bill.

  1. Tap on Purchase Bill from the New (+) icon.
  2. Select the supplier's name, then go to the Item details section. Add the TCS item and enter the amount in the field provided.
  3. Click Save and close.

On the other hand, I also recommend reaching out with a professional accountant. This way, they'll be able to provide you with alternatives and ensure that the account stays accurate and reported correctly on your tax information.

While the option for automatic calculation of TCS deduction is not yet available, I suggest vising our blog to stay current with the latest QuickBooks news and updates. Here's the link: The QuickBooks Blog.
