Hi Pepe,

I'll guide you through changing the currency (home currency) of your QuickBooks company. However, please know that if you've already enabled the Multicurrency feature, you cannot change it anymore, and we would recommend starting fresh and re-entering your data.

To change the home currency:

  1. Click the Gear icon.
  2. Choose Accounts and settings.
  3. Go to the Advanced tab.
  4. Click the Currency section.
  5. Change the Home Currency.
  6. Click Save and then Done.

Let's not discuss about deleting your data and starting fresh yet to avoid confusion and to prevent losing your records. Please confirm with us if you've already turned on the Multicurrency feature and wanted to change everything or if only a few accounts have to be corrected. Please be detailed as you can.

On the other hand, you can also check reports with amounts presented in a different currency, like the Balance Sheet. You can follow these steps:

  1. Go to Reports.
  2. Search for Balance Sheet Detail and click the result.
  3. Click the small Gear icon on the report page and then Show more.
  4. Select the Currency and Foreign amount checkboxes.
  5. Click Run Report.

I'm just right here to continue helping you with currency. Let me know if you have additional questions.

My currency sign (€) appears on all my invoices but not on Return Receipts. I see it when I create/edit the return receipt but it doesn't show on the printed or pdf file. Can you please help urgently?

I've got your back, Pinar. Let me help you ensure the currency appears when printing your refund receipt in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

When you say return receipts, are you referring to the refund receipt feature in QBO? If so, I'd be glad to provide some solutions to make sure the currency shows up when printing your refund receipts.

Let's customise your Default Standard template to show the currency when previewing or printing the PDF of your refund receipts. To guide you further, please follow the steps below:

  1.  Go to Settings and then tap Custom form styles.
  2. Click the Edit button in the Standard template.

  3. From the Design tab, select Change up the template.
  4. Choose a layout except for the Airy New template.

Furthermore, you can also add a () sign to your template by following the steps below:

  1. Select the Content tab from the standard template.
  2. Choose the Table section, then click Edit labels and widths.
  3. Add a () sign beside the Rate and Amount sections.

Here's a sample result of how it appears in your PDF:

However, please provide additional details if this isn't the case and you mean something else with the return receipts.

In addition to this, you can visit these articles for further instructions on how to include additional details or personalize sales transactions:

Please keep me updated on how these steps turn out, and let me know if you have any other concerns by commenting below. Have a great day ahead!
