How to make a sales order prior to an invoice

Currently, there's no Sales Order feature in QuickBooks Online (QBO). I can see how having this additional feature and functionality would be helpful for you and your business.

I encourage you to add your vote for this one by sending a feature request in the Feedback section within QuickBooks. Our product development team reviews all the feedback we receive to ensure we’re meeting the needs of our customers.

As a workaround, we can create an Estimate as a replacement. An estimate is a non-posting transaction that can be turned into an invoice at a later time. When the customer gets the invoice, this can act as the sales order.

Here's how to submit feedback: 

1. Click the Gear icon at the top, then select Feedback.
2. Enter your comments or product suggestions.
3. Then select Next to submit feedback.
