How to match invoice for amount X with Stripe payment of X amount minus Stripe fee.

Thank you for reaching out to the QuickBooks Community, info. I am here to assist you in matching your invoice with the Stripe payment that has already been deducted with fees.

To resolve the error, you need to manually receive the payment with the total amount of the invoice first. Please also see the sample screenshots below.

1. Click on the + New button and select Receive Payment.
2. In the Customer drop-down menu, choose the customer name.
3. Make sure to select the correct payment date. 
4. Select the appropriate invoice and enter the full amount of the invoice. 
   

Once you have completed the above steps, you can proceed to match the receive payment with the Stripe payout. Here are the steps to follow: 

1. Click on the Transactions menu and select the Bank Transactions tab. 
2. Locate the Stripe payout and select Match. 
3. Tick the invoice payment and turn on the Resolve Difference option. 
4. Choose the correct expense category and enter the negative for the fees. 
5. In the VAT column, choose appropriate option.
6.  Click on Match.
