Question

I am being prompted that Credit Note #1 exists but I have not entered any in the past, just now. Where do I see all credit notes?

I'd be happy to show you the steps.

 

If you haven't created the transaction, you'll want to check your Audit log history. Other users in the account might have entered it.

 

Here's how:

 

  1. Go to the Gear > Audit log.
  2. From the User drop-down, select All users.
  3. Choose All Dates from the Date changed menu.
  4. Select All transactions from the Events drop-down list.
  5. Search for Credit Notes and check the user.

You can click on the Credit Note link to open the transaction and delete it if this should not be recorded. I've got this sample screenshot to see what it looks like:

 

 

The other way on how you can locate all the recorded credit notes is by following these steps:

 

  1. On the left navigation menu, select Sales > All Sales.
  2. Click the Filter button.
  3. From the Type drop-down menu, select Credit Notes.
  4. Choose the Status and Date and hit Apply.
