I am purchasing and selling both to the same company. Quickbooks won't let me open supplier and customer by the same name. How to get around this?

Currently, the QuickBooks system won't let you create Customer and Supplier with the same name. This is because to avoid duplicate information and to make sure your QuickBooks account stays accurate.

For now, I suggest adding extra characters on either name to save the information.

For example:

Company1- you add 1 at the end of the customer's name.

Company1A- you add 1A at the end of the supplier's name.

Once the information already saved. You can now start creating the customer and supplier transactions.
