I am trying to change the Type of 1 item from Service to Non-Inventory, but it said that there is an error occurred. I could do the rest except for 1. How do i do it?

Hello @usercontact12,

Welcome to the Community. I can help you get rid of the error when changing item types in QuickBooks.

Since this is only happening to one item, the browser's stored cache may be full. It can cause unusual behavior, such as not being able to change the item type from Service to Non-inventory.

Also, please note that you can't change bundle items. QuickBooks automatically assigns them a category.

I'd first suggest logging into your account using a private browser. It doesn't store data in the cache and a great way to isolate browser-related issues.

Use these keyboard shortcuts depending on the browser you're using:

  • Google Chrome: press Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox: press Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Microsoft Edge: press Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Safari: press Command + Shift +N

If you can change it without any problem, let's switch back to the regular browser and clear its cache & historical data. This process helps restore the default setup of the browser.

In case private browsing doesn't work, use another supported web engine to get the best and most secure experience with the program.
