I can't be able to make a sales receipt entry it is showing like a expense

I'm here to assist you in creating sales receipts in QuickBooks Online, rashil-pick-a-ne.

 

A sales receipt is a transaction record that you issue at the time of sale to verify the product or service provided and the amount paid by the buyer.

 

You might want to delete the one you recorded and recreate the sales transaction to ensure we're recording your financial data correctly. The following are the steps to creating a sales receipt:

 

  1. Click + New in the left panel and select Sales receipt.
  2. Select the customer from the Customer dropdown. Note: If you haven't set them up in QuickBooks yet, select Add a new customer.
  3. Enter the sales info, such as the payment method.
  4. Add line items for the products and services you sold.
  5. Hit Save and close.
