I can’t see “receipt snap” on the menu of my quickbooks online iPhone app. Could it be because I am using it in Costa Rica?

The receipt snap feature is unavailable in QuickBooks Online International versions.

You'll have to enter these expenses or cheque transactions manually. You can refer to this article: What is the difference between bills, cheques, and expenses?.
