Hello there, Pema.

Let me share some details about the invoice tax box in your QuickBooks Online (QBO).

First, to ensure that your tax will show in the footer is to set up your taxes. Once you have turned on the taxes, check your Custom form style if you ticked the GST summary. Here's how:

  1. Go to the Gear icon, and select Custom form styles.
  2. Click New, then choose invoice.
  3. In the Content section, click the footer.
  4. Make sure to tick on the GST summary.
  5. Once finished, click Done.

If the issue persists even after following the steps above, let's do some troubleshooting steps.

There are times when the browser you're using has data issues, thus causing QuickBooks to act weirdly. To verify, let's log in to your QuickBooks Online (QBO) account using a private browser. To do so, press this shortcut key on your keyboard:

  • Google Chrome: Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Safari: Command + Option + P

If this works, you need to clear the browser's cache so the system can start fresh. If you get the same result while using a private browser, I suggest switching to a different supported browser.

Moreover, I'm adding this article as your reference in customising sales forms, please check out this article: Customise invoices, estimates, and sales receipts in QBO.
