Hello there.

I'm here to help you manage your invoices in QuickBooks Online.

Before anything else, did you create a scheduled recurring template previously? If yes, this could be the reason why an old invoice shows up every 1st month.

To check, we can proceed to your Settings menu and proceed to select Recurring transactions.

Otherwise, we can perform some troubleshooting steps to fix this. There are instances when the browser is full of commonly used page resources, which results in errors or odd behavior. Let's use a different or private browser to view your account. You can use any of these shortcut keys to access one:

  • Google Chrome: Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Microsoft Edge: Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Safari: Command + Shift + N.

Then, go back to your invoices page. Once the old invoice doesn't show up, go back to your usual browser and clear its cache. This is done to speed up the process the next time you do a transaction in QuickBooks. Also, an alternative way is to use other compatible browsers.

I'm also adding this article to help personalise and add specific info to your sales forms: Customise invoices, estimates, and sales receipts in QuickBooks Online.

Keep me posted if you have further queries about handling your invoices in QBO. I'll be around to help you all the way.
