Thank you for taking the time to post here in the Community space, Adios.

You can still record the received payment for the invoice with the AED currency in QuickBooks Online (QBO). Although you are receiving the payment in USD in your bank account, you can still adjust the conversion if needed. Let me walk you through the steps of how:

  1. In your QBO account, click on the +New icon, then select Receive payment.
  2. On the Receive Payment page, select the customer you received the payment from.
  3. Choose the correct Payment method and account to Deposit to. Note: You can also adjust the currency rate in the Exchange Rate field.

  4. Locate and select the correct invoice.

  5. Once ready, click on Save and close.

Since you already received the payment in your USD bank account, you'll need to convert the amount to AED using the exchange rate at the time of the transaction. Here's how:

  1. In your QBO account, click on +New, then select Bank deposit.
  2. Select your USD bank account in the Account section.
  3. In the Currency field, select AED, then enter the correct conversion rate.

  4. Select the customer in the Received From section.
  5. In the Account dropdown, select the account where the fund is from.
  6. Enter the converted amount in AED.

  7. Once ready, click on Save and close.
