Thank you for letting me know that you're using QuickBooks Online (QBO) Plus, @contidv-gmail-co. With this, I'm here to share the details regarding your concern.

Let's add your employees as Standard users to give them inventory access and won't be able to run the Profit and Loss report. Just choose Customers or Suppliers under Limited to complete this task. I'll guide you how.

  1. Go to the Gear (⚙) icon and select Manage users under Your Company
  2. Click Add user.
  3. Choose Standard user and click Next.
  4. Select either Customers or Suppliers under Limited
  5. Click Next.
  6. Modify the user settings and select Next
  7. Enter their contact info.
  8. Click Save.

The screenshots below show you the last five steps.

Once done, your employees will get emails and have them accept the invitations. For detailed steps, let them follow this article: Adding, Deleting, Or Changing User Access. Then, have them go to Step 2 under the Add a QuickBooks Online user section. After that, they can now set up and track your inventory in QBO. Here's how it looks like when they go to their Reports menu:

Aside from Standard users, you can add users as company admins, Reports only, and Time tracking only. Just go back to the Manage Users page to perform this activity. For more information, visit this article: User Types And Permissions

I'll lend a helping hand if you need anything else. Keep safe always, @contidv-gmail-co.

As another option, consider having an inventory management app to integrate with your QBO. You can only give access to the app for your employees, you don't need to give any access to QBO.
