You are using QB Online Global version for NZ, correct?

What is your home currency now? NZD or CAD?

Hello there.

I got some information about Currencies in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

In QBO, you can change your home currency as long as you have not set up Multicurrency yet. With that being said, if you decide to turn it on, you no longer can turn it off as the currency conversion information will have to be accounted for in the system moving forward. Also, note that the multicurrency feature is only available for QBO Essentials, Plus, and Advanced versions.

When decided to turn on the Multicurrency feature, please follow these steps:

  1. Go to the Gear icon then select Account and settings.
  2. Select Advanced.
  3. Click on the pencil icon in the Currency section.
  4. Select your currency from the Home Currency dropdown.
  5. Tick the Multicurrency checkbox and confirm that you understand this can't be undone.
  6. When done, select Save.

Additionally, you can refer to this article for the most asked questions about home currency adjustments: Frequently Asked Questions about Home Currency Adjustment in QuickBooks Online.
