I hope you're doing well, ngahhaytham-gmai.

Let me help you change the beginning balance showing up on the supplier's account. You may have accidentally entered a negative opening balance when you set up the supplier.

To correct this, you can delete the transaction and create a new one. Let me show you how to do it.

  1. Go to Expenses from the left menu, then Suppliers.
  2. Find the vendor and click the name to open the profile.
  3. Click the Transaction list tab.
  4. Mark the transaction showing the -8000 amount.
  5. Click the arrow under the Action column, then choose Delete.
  6. Hit Yes to confirm.
  7. To create a new balance, click the New transaction button, then choose the form you want to create.
  8. Make sure to enter a positive amount.

Tracking your payables can be done in several ways. QuickBooks Online lets you choose if they're paid immediately or have already been paid. That being said, check out this article so you can select which form to enter: Learn the difference between bills, cheques, and expenses.

Get back to me if you have additional questions about the beginning balance of the supplier. It's always my pleasure to help you. Enjoy the rest of your day.
