I want to record discount in Receive payment entry (Because customer wants discount at payment time). How I do this entry, there is no option of discount in Receive Paymn

In QuickBooks Online, you can only add discounts when creating sales transactions. You'll have to enable the Discount Percent or Value feature from your company's settings first to apply specific payment discounts to your customers. To do that:

1. In your QBO account, go to the Gear ⚙ icon and click Account and Settings.
2. Select the Sales tab on the menu.
3. In the Sales form content section, select the pencil ✏ icon.
4. Then, enable the Discount setting.
5. Click on Save and Done.

Once ready, you can add a discount to the subtotal of your sales form as a percentage/value or, apply them as a line item where you can include a description of what the discount is for. Let me show you how:

1. Go to the Sales menu, then choose the Invoices tab.
2. Find and open the invoice created.
3. If you want to add discounts to the subtotal on your sales forms, click Discount Percent or Discount Value on the lower right section of the invoice.
4. If you want to add them as a line item, you need to create a discount item first and then apply them to the transaction.
5. Enter the early payment discount amount, then Save and Close.
