I want to use the email receipt function in QB but do not have the "receipt" tab anywhere to set up the function

To create the custom email address: Go to the Banking menu or Transactions menu. Select the Receipts tab. Select Forward from email. In the Enter a custom email field, create a customized email address. It will have @qbodocs.com at the end. When you're ready, select Customize email and then Confirm. Note: Once you claim an email address, you can't change it. Give permission for users to forward emails to your new email address by turning on the toggle for each user. Or to add a new user, select Add new user. Learn how to add a new user. Then select Done. Please point me to where that is.

I appreciate you sharing the in depth-details of your concern. I'm here to share some information about the emailing receipts in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

 

The reason why you're unable to see the Receipt tab is that this option is currently unavailable to QBO International versions. The Receipt Forwarding feature is available in QBO US and QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE) versions.

 

As a workaround, you can attach a PDF copy of your receipts when you create an expense in QBO. Here's how to do it:

 

  1. In QBO, click the + New button.
  2. Select Expense under Suppliers.
  3. Complete the expense information.
  4. Tick the Attachments icon, then locate and open the receipt from your folder.
  5. Hit Save and close.
