Is it possible to set a fixed description for an account in Quickbooks online?

Some accounts of the chart have the same description all the time

Yes, Regal. In QuickBooks Online (QBO), you can modify an account's description using the Description option. I'll guide you through the step-by-step process.

 

Adding detailed descriptions will help you identify the specific accounts within QuickBooks. We'll gladly write down the steps to get you going:

 

  1. Access your QuickBooks Online company.
  2. Go to Gear icon settings and select Chart of accounts.
  3. Find the account you want to modify.
  4. In the Action column, click the dropdown arrow and select Edit.
  5. Look for the Description field and enter the details for the account.
  6. Click Save when done.
