Is there a way to see the history of a particular invoice sent to a customer

Every changes made to all transactions are recorded in the Audit history. I'd be glad to share these steps on how to look for the details: 

1. Open the invoice that you're working on.
2. Click More at the bottom of the transaction and select Audit History.

You'll see the original invoice and edited number in the Num section.

You can also use the Audit Log report. This will let you see all changes that are made as well as the name of the user who did it. Here's an article as a guide: Use the Audit Log in QuickBooks Online.
