Thanks for reaching out to the Community about your concern. Allow me to provide some information about the message you receive and show the steps to move past the error.

This message indicates that the date on the transaction you're trying to create comes before the As of date of the inventory item. You can only post transactions after the start date indicated on the inventory item. We’ll have to change it to fix the issue.

Let's go to the Products and Services page to accomplish this task. Here’s how:

1. Go to the Gear icon and select Products and Services under Lists.
2. From the list, look for the inventory item you’re working on.
3. Tap the click the Edit button to open the Product/Service information screen.
4. In the Quantity on hand section, click the Starting value link.
5. Then, press the Got it button to open the Inventory Starting Value START page.
6. Navigate to the As of date section and enter the date you wish to use in the box.
7. Hit Save and close.
