Please tell me how to change a chart of account name. Example if I wanted to change Electricity to Rates

The QuickBooks Community has your back, DEH1. I can guide you on how you can change the account's name in the COA.

You can click the triangle ▼ button from there on the Action column. There's an Edit choice there that will enable you to change the account's name.

Here's how:

1. Go to the Accounting menu and then select Chart of Accounts.
2. Find the account in question and then click this button ▼ on the Action.
3. Choose Edit and then change its Name.
4. Click Save and Close.
