I've got some tips to help you view customer projects in QuickBooks Online (QBO), Finance.

Before proceeding, it's important to know that you should have the appropriate access to manage projects in QBO. Please refer to this article to learn more: User roles and access rights in QuickBooks Online. If you have the necessary permission, continue to the troubleshooting steps below.

First, you can run the Project Profitability Summary report to verify that the projects are still active and haven't been deleted. If they didn't appear, utilize the Audit Log to review the transaction history of the projects.

If they show up in the report, navigate to the Customers tab under the Sales menu and go to Projects. Ensure to filter the project list according to their StatusEnd Date, and See info based on.

If the issue persists after applying the correct filters, we can isolate the problem by performing browser troubleshooting steps. In some cases, an outdated cache can interrupt the information displayed in the Customers menu. To do that, open your account in an incognito window by following these keyboard shortcuts:

  • For Google Chrome browser: Ctrl + Shift + N
  • For Mozilla Firefox browser: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • For Safari browser: Command + Shift + N

Once resolved, you can either return to your original browser to clear its cache or use another compatible one.

Additionally, you can invoice your customers for the expenses you incurred when performing the projects.

We'll be glad to have you back in this forum if you need further assistance managing your projects. The Community team is here to guide you every step of the way. Stay safe, and have a great rest of the day.
