Refund Receipt processed via card

Hi I created a refund receipt because we did a manual refund to customer however the refund receipt created in QBO has been processed to customers card. which should not I cannot refund a customer twice. now I voided the transaction right away. will Quickbooks merchant NOT refund it right away? I mean I voided it in just a matter of seconds from the time I saved the refund receipt. Anyone who can confirm that the refund can still not push through? thanks

Hi, @yenny_0617. It's my priority to help you verify the entry you've voided.

 

For manually added transactions, voiding them will automatically cancel the entry and won't affect your accounts and reports. In your case, the refund was processed online and to your customer's card. I love to check and confirm the status of the voided refund receipt. However, we won't be able to access and provide personal details in this thread for security reasons. 

 

At this time, I'd recommend reaching out to our Merchant Support for further help. They'll be able to look into your account securely and confirm if the refund will push through or not.

hello chat is not available now I am already worried attached is the screenshot - so when I do the refund receipt and voided it right after I saved it - there were two transactions created in Quickbooks merchant report transaction see attached screenshot - it says VOID approved does this mean it did not proceed with the refund, right?

Yes, you're right. Based on the image you've attached, the refund transaction won't push through since the action of voiding it was already approved. For that reason, you will no longer worry about duplicate refunds.
