Some issues for deleting items!

Hello.

I need help to use Quickbooks online!!

 

Here're some inquiries about deleting features.

1. When we wanna remove multiple invoices, do we have to click each invoice/estimate/payment and 'delete' button one by one? Only this way is available? No 'delete' button on Sales list!

2. Only 'inactive' button on Customers / Services and Product list. Can you explain why there's No 'delete' feature?  There is 'delete' feature for invoice/estimate/payment.

3. We tried to delete some items manually on Services and Product list as guided.

But some of them cannot be deleted! The error message continue to appear as the attached image.

Please check it. very confused.

It's test sample data so we don't need it but still on our list again and again!

What does "default service" mean in the error message??

I'll be glad to answer your questions. At the moment, you can only delete one transaction at a time. QuickBooks Online limits how many transactions you can delete in order to prevent mistakes. I've got this article for more details: Void or delete transactions in QuickBooks Online.

 

For your second concern, yes, the only option that we have currently is making the customer or supplier inactive. If you have recorded some transactions for these customers or suppliers and you see them in the reports, you have the option to exclude them.

 

Here's how:

 

  1. Go to Reports on the left panel..
  2. Find and open the report you want to view.
  3. Select the Report period, and click the Customise button to open the customisation window.
  4. Click Filter, and put a check mark on the active customers or suppliers.
  5. Select Run report.

With regard to the error message you encountered when deleting a product/service, QuickBooks Online creates two default items in the Product and Service page. The default items are Sales and Hours.

 

 

While the option to delete the item is unavailable, you'll want to merge them with a different item.

 

Here's how:

 

  1. Go to the GearProducts and Services.
  2. Find the product or service that you want to merge.
  3. Select Edit from the Action column.
  4. In the Name field, enter the product or service you want to merge it with.
  5. Click Save and Close, then select Yes to confirm the merge.
