Question

Trying to review receipts, the ‘how did you pay?’ credit card option doesn’t seem to be showing that it’s linked to my actual current account, can anyone please help?

Tracy, I understand that dealing with certain issues can be stressful, but don't worry, I'm here to help you sort this out. Let's work together to ensure you can review your receipts hassle-free.

Can you please check and let me know where in QuickBooks Online (QBO) you're seeing the "how did you pay" option? A screenshot would be really helpful, so I can offer you a precise solution tailored to your situation.

If you're referring in the Bank/Credit account dropdown on the Review details page, it's possible that your credit card hasn’t been added to the Chart of Accounts yet. Could you take a moment to verify if that might be the case? That way, we can get this sorted out for you efficiently.

    1. Go to Settings and select Chart of accounts.
    2. Locate the credit card account.

If your credit card isn't showing up as expected, we might need to add it into the system. On the other hand, if it's already there and still not visible, it could be an issue related to your web browser. Let's walk through some troubleshooting steps together to resolve this and ensure everything is functioning smoothly.

We can open your QuickBooks Online account through an incognito or private window. This method is advantageous as it does not save any site data. You can utilize the shortcut keys provided below:

    • Press Command + Shift + N (Safari)
    • Press CTRL + Shift + N (Google Chrome)
    • Press CTRL + Shift + P (Mozilla Firefox)
    • Press CTRL + Shift + N (Microsoft Edge)

If it works, clear your browser's cache to remove any outdated saved files. Alternatively, you might want to try a different supported browser.

If this isn't what you were talking about, Tracy, feel free to drop more details in the comments below. I'm here to help and will make sure we address your concerns promptly.
