Hello there, Dulqar.

Thank you for posting here in the Community. I know how important it is for you to show your invoice more transparently to your customers. Let me share some insights and workarounds on how VAT works on your invoice.

Even if there is no option to show the VAT amount for each line item in the invoice. But we still have a workaround and we can manually edit the invoice to make that happen.

To do so, please follow these steps for your guidance:

  1. Sign in to your QuickBooks Online.
  2. Go to the Sales tab and navigate to Invoice.
  3. Choose the Invoice that you want to edit.
  4. In the invoice page, hover to the lower right then make sure to change the amounts area to Out of Scope GST.
  5. Exactly below at the Product/Service area, toggle then click on +Add New. Then select Service.
  6.  Name it as VAT. Then hover your mouse at the lower right and click on Income Account.
  7. At the top part of that select +Add new then name it as VAT.
