Let me assist you in sending your invoice to WhatsApp with any issues, Florence.

We'll need to make sure the WhatsApp application isn't set to dark mode to prevent the transaction from appearing in black color. If dark mode is disabled and the invoice still shows the same color, we can reset the data in your mobile app. As long as you’re connected to the internet, you should be able to update your data. Here’s how to do it on different mobile operating systems:

iOS

  1. Go to Menu ☰ and tap Help & Feedback.
  2. Tap Refresh Data.
  3. Note: A message appears “Caution. If there was a problem getting your latest QuickBooks Online data, you can refresh it now. It may take a few minutes.”
  4. Tap Refresh to confirm.

Android

  1. Go to Menu ☰ then tap More Options ⋮.
  2. Tap Settings then Refresh Data.
  3. Tap YES to confirm.

Once done, close and reopen the mobile app. Also, I'd suggest restarting your phone. If you continue to get the same result, uninstall and reinstall the application to start fresh. Follow the steps below to delete it.

  1. Tap and hold QuickBooks Online on your phone.
  2. Drag the app to the Uninstall section.
  3. Select Yes to confirm.

Once done, visit these links to reinstall the QBO mobile app:

Also, the QuickBooks Online (QBO) mobile app is always in sync with the web version. The tasks and changes you've made in the app should show up on the web, and vice versa. I suggest sending the invoices through the web and opening them through a private window to narrow down the results. The process can remove any cache-related issues that may have caused the problem.

You can save time by using either of the following keyboard shortcuts:

  • Google Chrome: Press CtrlShift N
  • Safari: Press Command Shift N
  • Mozilla Firefox: Press CtrlShift P

Then, try sending the invoices again. You can check out this article for more details: Send invoices with WhatsApp. If it works fine, return to your default browser and clear the cache to refresh the system. You can also use another compatible browser if you're getting the same experience.

I'm adding this article for more hints on tracking and sending invoices from our system: Create invoices in QuickBooks Online. Once your customer pays the invoice, you should record it in QuickBooks to mark the transaction as paid. You can review the resources from this material as your reference: Record invoice payments in QuickBooks Online.
