Hello there. Welcome to the Community.

Let me share some insights about your accounts in the chart of accounts so you can manage them accordingly in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

By default, QBO won't display a balance under QuickBooks Balance for income and expense accounts on the Chart of Accounts page. You'll have to run the report for the specific account. Then, under the Action column, Balance Sheet accounts (with the Account history option) show their current balance. While Profit and Loss (P&L) accounts (with the Run report option) show a zero.

For accounts that have an account history, you can review their transactions and current balance. Otherwise, you can run a report to see transactions on that account. To do this, select either the Account history or Run report option from the Action column.

You can read this article to get familiar with the chart of accounts in QBO: Learn about the chart of accounts in QuickBooks Online.

Also, QuickBooks creates specific accounts by default when you set up your company.  You may want to check out this article as your reference to learn more about them and guide you on how you can manage them in QBO: Manage default and special accounts in your QuickBooks Online chart of accounts.
