Hi there, @tarteebllc-gmail.

Invoices should always post to the Accounts Receivable (AR) account. If I may ask, may I know what specific account the invoice post to the other client? Or, can you provide a screenshot of the transaction in question? This way, I can gather enough information and look into this further.

Usually, QuickBooks Online (QBO) reports such as Balance Sheet is dependent on whatever information you've entered into the system. If an invoice is created for client A, the entry should post to client A on your report. If the invoice goes to the other client, open the invoice, then review the customer's name associated with it. You can modify the transaction if needed.

  1. Sign in to your QBO account.
  2. Click Sales at the left pane, then go to Invoices.
  3. Look for the transaction.
  4. Review the details, then make the necessary changes from there.

I'm adding this link for more information about invoices in QBO: Create invoices in QuickBooks Online.

On the other hand, you can open this article as your tips while running your reports: Run reports in QuickBooks Online. The same resource gives you details on how to customize, memorize, print, email, and export reports.
