It's tough when the new invoice and estimate update in QuickBooks Online (QBO) has complicated your workflow, Workers. Your experience is our priority, and I'm here to help address these concerns.

While our goal with the update is to create a more user-friendly experience, we acknowledge the issues you encountered with the new invoice and estimate experience. Your insights are crucial for our ongoing improvements.

That said, I encourage you to submit your recommendations directly to our software engineers. They will review your suggestions and consider them for future developments. To do that, go to the Gear icon and select Feedback.

Regarding your concern about exporting your invoice/estimate, we'd appreciate it if you could specify what troubles you encountered so we can address and troubleshoot them appropriately.

The template used when exporting your invoice/estimate depends on what is set as the default. Since you've already done so, we can perform troubleshooting steps to eliminate potential browser-related issues. Here are some keyboard shortcuts you can refer to:

  • For Google Chrome browser: Ctrl + Shift + N
  • For Mozilla Firefox browser: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • For Safari browser: Command + Shift + N

Once resolved, please return to your default browser to clear its cache or utilize another compatible window.

Additionally, I'll make this article available to guide you in creating templates for recurring transactions in QBO: Create recurring transactions in QuickBooks Online. Doing so helps you save time creating and sending them individually to your customers.

We appreciate your feedback and patience as we work through these updates. Please know we’re here to support you, so don’t hesitate to reach out with any invoice/estimate-related questions. Keep safe.
