Question

How are you handling business continuity if you cannot access QB due to the cloud interface being down, or site crash? What backups are in existence?

A pleasant day to you. I'll share some troubleshooting steps to help fix site crashes in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

In case, that  some issues happen to our server, you don't need to worry about saving your QuickBooks data on a flash drive because QuickBooks Online automatically backs your data up with the same level of security used by banks and financial institutions. We keep your data safe and secure by doing the following:

  • Whenever there are changes to your company file, your data is saved to two hard drives.
  • We periodically copy all data to a third-party hard drive in order to protect your data in case something happens to the first two hard drives.
  • Automatic backups are performed every night.

Also,  with regards to issue that's caused by stored cookies and cache that block you from accessing your company file. We can perform the basic troubleshooting steps below:

  1. Restart your browser.
  2. You may run your payroll in an incognito or private browser. You can use these keyboard shortcuts to launch a new private window:

Google Chrome: press Ctrl Shift N

Mozilla Firefox: press Ctrl Shift P

Safari: press Command Shift N

If it works, you can return to your regular browser and clear your browser's cache. Then you may see if it fixes the problem and gets started on the tasks at hand. However, if the incognito window didn't work, you can use another supported browser
