I've got you covered, @info1916

I have a solution for receiving stock from your Purchase Order (PO) in QuickBooks Online.

To receive the stock, you'll need to convert the PO to a bill. This way, it will be treated as posting transaction on your account.

Go as follows:

  1. Go to the Expenses menu on the upper left side.
  2. Find the PO in the lists.
  3. Click the small drop-down arrow under Action and pick Copy to bill
  4. Hit Save and close.

For more information, check out this article: Add purchase orders to expenses, bills, or cheques in QuickBooks Online.

Once the payment is received, record that in QuickBooks by clicking the Make payment hyperlink under Action. For more details, see this link: Enter bills and record bill payments in QuickBooks Online.

In addition, if you want to review your open PO transactions, you can run the Open Purchase Order ListOpen Purchase Order DetailPurchases by Product/Service Detail, or Purchases by Vendor Detail reports.
