How do I upload transactions from my bank into Quickbooks? I follow all prompts but when I get to section where it asks to select date, etc, those selections are greyed

You're already on the right track in manually uploading your bank transactions into QuickBooks Online (QBO), cvandermerwe. We'll need to check a few details, like your mapping and formatting, to complete the process successfully.

QuickBooks isn't able to read your data in the mapping stage. That's why your column selections are grayed out. To fix this, you can do the following:

  1. Delete columns you do not need from your CSV to avoid any confusion. The columns that are required by QuickBooks are: Date, Description, and Amount.
  2. Change the names of the columns in your CSV to match the titles in QuickBooks.

In case you've already selected the correct columns during the mapping stage, the next step is to review your formatting, money-out transactions, and account type. Please refer to this article for specific information on how to do these tasks: Common errors for importing bank transactions using CSV.

Once everything is in order, proceed with reimporting your financial records.

After completing the mentioned steps, remember to categorise your transactions and perform monthly reconciliations to keep your financial data updated.

Please keep me posted if you have any additional importing and banking concerns or questions about managing transactions in QBO. I'll be right here to help.
