I tried to update my billing information but the Intuit/QuickBooks platform was experiencing problems. For example, when I put in US as the country it only allowed me to put in South Africa. And when I finally was able to put in US and pressed Confirmed, it did not take after over a minute of waiting for acknowledgement of my updated details.

Help has arrived, @petermacy.

I'd be glad to provide some insights about updating billing information in QuickBooks Online.

Please know that the account's country can't be changed as it is determined by the region's website where the subscription was made. If you wish to change the country, you may need to create a new account by choosing the country first: https://quickbooks.intuit.com/choose-country/.

Otherwise, you may want to utilize the Multicurrency feature to record foreign currency transactions using the same account without changing the country. Here's how:

  1. From the Gear icon, go to Accounts and Settings.
  2. Click Advanced.
  3. In the Currency section, select Edit.
  4. From the Home Currency ▼ dropdown, select your currency.
  5. Turn on the Multicurrency switch and confirm that you understand that you can't undo this option.
  6. Hit Save, then Done.

However, this feature is exclusive to QBO Essentials and Plus versions. For more details about this, check out this reference: Set up and use Multicurrency in QuickBooks Online.

If you want to assign a foreign currency to a new customer moving forward, you can read this article: Assign a foreign currency to a customer in QuickBooks Online.

You're always welcome to get back on this thread if you have any other questions about your account settings and subscription. Wishing you and your business continued success.
