Why am I unable to create a rule where the amounts are split and there are cents? Appears it only now takes rand amounts?

Welcome to the QuickBooks family. I can provide clarification about using the bank rule feature.

You should be able to include cents when creating a bank rule in QuickBooks. To avoid an error message, please make sure to select Amount (R) instead of the Percentage (%) option.

Here's how:

1. On the left navigation bar, click Banking.
2. Go to the Rules tab.
3. Press New rule.
4. Below Split by, choose Amount (R). 
5. Enter the necessary information.
6. Hit Save.
