While you can consider getting a callback from our Support Team, I can guide you through the process of making an account inactive to address the duplicated expense account, Iwan.

Since we can't directly delete an account, we can make it inactive to have it removed in your Chart of Accounts. To achieve this, ensure that the expense balance is zero. If the balance is not zero, QuickBooks Online makes an automatic adjustment entry to zero out the non-zero balance of the inactive account. You can follow these steps:

  1. Go to the Gear icon and select Chart of Accounts.
  2. Find the account you want to delete.
  3. Select the Action ▼ dropdown and choose Make inactive.

For more details and information, you can refer to this article: Make an account inactive on your chart of account in QuickBooks Online.

Additionally, you can check this out about the accounts in QuickBooks Online, read through these articles: Manage default and special accounts in your QuickBooks Online chart of accounts.

Keep me posted if you have any further questions about accounts in QBO. I'm always available to assist you.
