It's nice to see you in the QuickBooks Community, usersales12. I'll make sure to share with you how subscription works in QuickBooks Online.

Yes! you can renew your QuickBooks account for a month. To do this, click the Gear icon at the top-right of your screen. Then, select Your Account under Your Company.

Here's how:

  1. Choose Subscribe or Renew to the right of Subscription Status.
  2. The subscription renewal page will open in the other window. If you already have an activation code click on "Already have an activation code?" button (1) and follow the screen instructions.
  3. If you have a "Promotion Code" enter the promotion code in the text box and click Apply button (2)
  4. If you want to purchase multiple activation codes/subscriptions click on the "Need to buy multiple companies?" button (3). In the next page select the number of subscription you want to purchase from the drop down and click on "Subscribe Now" button.
  5. Enter the Billing Address details and check the Terms, Conditions checkbox and click Continue/Make Payment.
  6. Choose the payment option from Credit Card, Debit Card, Net Banking, and Cash Card.
  7.  Follow the screen instructions to make the payment.

On the other hand about renewing that shows the amount for three years, I recommend logging in to your QuickBooks account using a private browser. Then, process renewing from there. This is to rule out the possibility of a webpage issue, and private browsing doesn't store local files or cache.

Use these keyboard shortcuts based on the browser you're using.

  • For Firefox or Microsoft Edge, press Ctrl + Shift + P.
  • For Chrome, press Ctrl + Shift + N.
  • For Safari, hold down Command + Shift + N.

If it works in incognito, I suggest clearing the cache of your regular browser. This removes the history or log of sites so you can start with a clean slate. You can check this article to see the steps: Clear cache and cookies to fix issues when using QuickBooks Online.

If the steps above didn't work, use another supported browser as alternatives.

If the problem still persists, I suggest contacting our QuickBooks Support Team. They have the tools to pull up your account to investigate the cause of the issue.

Here's how:

  1. Log in to your QuickBooks Online (QBO) account.
  2. Go to the Help menu.
  3. Type your question in the search box below or click on one of the following frequently viewed topics.
  4. Click No, I still need help.
  5. Select Contact QuickBooks Support.
  6. You'll be routed in the Choose a way to connect with us page.
  7. Choose Chat or select how you want to contact them and fill in the information.
