It’s great that you reached out for assistance, Hamzazomor. Let's get your transactions cleared up in no time.

Before you can delete or void transactions, it’s important to reactivate the account linked to those transactions. I recommend ensuring all associated accounts are active before making any changes to QBO.

To reactivate the inactive account, here's how:

  1. Go to Transactions in the main menu.
  2. Navigate to the Chart of Accounts.
  3. Find the inactive Account by Filtering it to Include inactive.

  4. Locate the account that is currently inactive and Hit Make Active beside the dropdown.

Once the account is active, you can proceed to delete or void the transactions associated with it.

Here's how:

  1. Go to the Transactions menu.
  2. Select the appropriate category to find the specific transaction.
  3. Locate the Transaction.
  4. Scroll through the list or use the search bar to find the transaction you want to delete or void.
  5. Open the transaction and click the More option to delete.

After you’ve successfully deleted the transactions, you may want to deactivate the account again if it’s no longer needed. Follow the instructions below for detailed steps:

  1. Return to the Chart of Accounts.
  2. Go to the Gear icon and use the same filtering method to locate the account.
  3. Click on the Make Inactive option next to the account name.

Moreover, I've included these articles to help you balance your accounts, categorize different segments of your company, and generate reports to track your business performance.
