Double-entry can cause discrepancies in your business. I'll make sure that you can cancel the double invoice in QuickBooks Online to avoid any problems soon. 

You can void or delete the duplicate invoices in your QuickBooks register. 

Void: 

• The system offsets the amount on the transaction to zero out the balances. 
• You still have a record, but it won’t affect your account balances or reports.

Delete: 

• The transaction is completely erased from your books.
• Won’t appear on any reports or in any accounts. 
• You can recover some details by running the audit log in QuickBooks but you can't recover the whole transaction. 

Once you decide whether you need to void or delete a transaction, here's how to do it:

1. Go to the Sales tab and select Invoices. 
2. Locate the duplicate in the list one at a time and click the drop-down under Action. 
3. Pick either Delete or Void. 

If the invoice is paid, void or delete the payment first. This way, you can successfully remove the duplicate invoice. For more information, see this link: Void or delete transactions in QuickBooks Online.
