Delete or unfile a return

The option to delete or unfile a submitted or filed return is currently unavailable in QuickBooks Online (QBO). We'll need to process or submit the VAT unfiling request. I'd recommend reaching out to our Customer Support Team for further assistance. A live agent can pull up your account securely and assist with the request. Before doing so, please prepare the following information:

• Your QuickBooks Online Company ID.
• The tax filing period you wish to unfile.
• The reason you need to unfile your tax.

To contact support:

1. Sign in to your QuickBooks Online company.
2. Go to the Help menu.
3. In QB Assistant, enter the topic you need help with.
4. Tap on Contact Us to connect with a live support agent.
5. Choose a way to connect with support.

The unfiling process is carried out by the back-end team and during this process, all users must remain signed out. Just click the Gear icon, then Sign out. Once the tax return has been successfully unfiled, our support team will contact you.
