Question

Despite enabling TDS option for the supplier, I am unable to record advance payment. Is there any way we can talk to your team for resolving this ?

I can help you isolate the issue you're currently experiencing, pavitrabhat.

It's possible that stored cache files in your regular browser caused the unexpected behavior of not being able to record advance payment after deducting TDS on a bill. We can perform a few browser troubleshooting steps to verify that.

Log in to QuickBooks Online through a private browser and then record the advance payment from there. You can use these keyboard shortcuts to open a private browser (incognito):

  • Google Chrome: Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Safari: Command + Option + P

If you're able to see the option to record advance payment, you can go back to the main browser and clear the cache. This enables the software to start fresh from stored cache files. Another way to get rid of these kinds of issues, you can use other supported browsers such as Google Chrome, Internet Explorer, or Mozilla Firefox.
