Getting error with billable expense, Error: An account you chose for a billable expense doesn't have an income account associated with it. Before you save this transaction, you need to make that association, or the income won't be reported correctly. Tip: Open a new browser window, edit the account and make the association, and then Save in this window.

The error that you're getting would show up when QuickBooks detects that the expense account you've selected isn't associated with a corresponding income account, Mukul. I'll help you resolve it quickly and efficiently.

Specifically, we'll edit the expense account to associate an income account. Here's how:

    1. Open your chart of accounts.
    2. Look for the expense account that you're using when creating an expense transaction.
    3. Click the drop-down list beside Run report, then click Edit.
    4. Look for Enter income account, then click the drop-down list beside it and assign an income account.
    5. Click Save.
