Getting this message. cant find transaction. "Please select a date that comes after the last transaction that used this item when you weren’t tracking it as inventory."

I'm here to help and  provide some information about the message you receive and show the steps to move past the error.

This message shows that the transaction's date is earlier than the inventory item's As of date. You can only post transactions after the inventory item's start date. To solve the issue, we'll have to change it. 

Here's how:

1. Go to the Gear icon and select Products and Services under Lists.
2. From the list, look for the inventory item you’re working on.
3. Tap the click the Edit button to open the Product/Service information screen.
4. In the Quantity on-hand section, click the Starting value link.
5. Then, press the Got it button to open the Inventory Starting Value START page.
6. Navigate to the As of date section and enter the date you wish to use in the box.
7. Hit Save and close.
