Thanks for reaching out, Etservices. Your security and privacy is our top priority, and I'm here to provide you with the information you need to stay safe.

Firstly, it's crucial to recognize that suspicious emails can sometimes be schemes designed to fraudulently obtain your personal information. Although these scams can appear convincing, there are several tell-tale signs to help you identify their authenticity.

For example, we will never ask you for your personal information through an email. Any such request should be treated with skepticism. Legitimate emails from Intuit will come from an address ending in @intuit.com, including @e.intuit.com, and any links included in such emails will always be for an intuit.com address. To verify the authenticity of a suspected phishing email, visit the Intuit Online Security Center. Scroll down to see  Spotting the scams for you and click Go to security notices

Additionally, to further protect yourself and your account from phishing attempts and other online threats, here are some helpful tips:

  • Make sure to install reliable antivirus software on your system and keep it regularly updated to protect against malicious threats.
  • Ensure you are using an up-to-date browser. Browser updates often include important security enhancements.
  • Avoid responding to emails asking for personal information, including account details, passwords, banking, or credit card information. Also, never open attachments unless you know the sender and are expecting the attachment, especially if they claim to be software updates—we will never send software updates via email.
  • Protect your computer and payroll files with strong, unique passwords. Avoid sharing your passwords with anyone.
